Instructions & Courses

The Institute of Mineralogy and Petrology (IMP) offers in conjunction with EMPA Dübendorf and the Institute of Geology (ETH) a variety of educational services to students of ETH member institutions, including regular ETH courses, individual instructions, printed and on-line instructions.

The internationally known quality of our analyses is a result of the scientific and technical expertise of our past and current co-workers, teachers, partners and students. We continue this tradition by instructing students carefully to prepare them for a competitive employment market.

We thus provide a technology transfer after the student's graduation and employment, which has often resulted in employment in academic and industrial analytical positions, as laboratory managers, professors, and analysts.
